1. Product Description

This pre-terminated fiber optic breakout cable splits a single high-density MTP®-16 APC connection into two MTP®-8 UPC outputs, supporting efficient multimode connectivity in structured fiber networks. Built with OM4 50/125 µm multimode fiber, the cable leverages angled APC polishing on the source connector to suppress back reflections and preserve optical signal quality, while the two UPC polished outputs provide reliable multimode patching with low insertion loss. The assembly is fully assembled and tested at the factory, delivering consistent performance without requiring field termination or polishing work. Its plenum-rated OFNP jacket allows installation through air-handling spaces that require enhanced fire and smoke resistance, and the cable uses Type B polarity for predictable transmit/receive lane alignment in MPO/MTP topologies.
